Marty Knoble-artist with Creative Haven line of coloring books.
Mr. Knoble, you are so talented and I have purchased every one of your Creative Haven coloring books and eagerly awaited the next. In fact I was going through all my fairy coloring books and I have multiple copies of some of yours. All the artist at Creative Haven are very talented and I'nm so glad that for some strange reason it's taken people almost 50 years to fall in love with the process-1st- There's the pouring over all the choices and trying to decide that a truly beautiful work of art that you can copy and color over and over is worth 20.00 bucks. Then there is the excitement of of hitting buy it now-knowing it will probably be here in less than 4 days. Those days drift by and then you here the mail carrier's horn and it's a fat yellow envelope that you can't wait to open. Ok- you open it slowly and YES! It's the new coloring book. This is where I get my Dr. Pepper freshened up,walk out to the heated garage, get my vaporizer out and look slowly at each picture, enjoying each one and picking out a few I have to do first(after I've copied the book of course. I've never actually colored in a coloring book. I use to trace the ones I wanted to color-that way the book stays fresh and perfect. My mother says I got my first real coloring book at the age of 2 and was crying because I couldn't bare to mess up the book. She showed me how to trace. I was happy. Also-just a thought but the JadeSummer line is putting links at the back of their books with a pdf file you can download and then you don't have to stand at the printer doing a page at a time. I was hoping ya'll are planning on doing something like that in the near future. I love this book and will have many happy hours with it. LisaG.
Good full-page tableaux to color
I’m an avid coloring book fan. I have many Creative Haven coloring books. I use Prismacolor and Crayola pencils to color. I like Marty Noble’s style. There are popular fairytales done in a different way (beauty and the beast) and—my fave—lesser known fairy tales (such as the swan brothers story, princess and the pea). The scenes and characters are pretty tableaux. I like that the female characters aren’t sexualized, something very common in fantasy art. I’m excited to work more with this piece. 😊💜👍
Great detail!
Great detail on each page. The colors pop after finishing a page and brings each picture to life.
This and Bardcore = DREAMLAND!
I couldn’t put it down. VERY well drawn, good variety, great adherence to theme, and bled through minimally with usage of markers. Just use a sheet you will be ok!
Wonderful variety!!
