I (22 male) only played one female char so far. Hell in the first 5 minutes I tried to do the voice, but then I just descriped in detail how her voice sounded and what tone it currently is. I made a snowelf archer who is such a heavy alcholic that she needed atleast 3 beers before (DM's law) she could aim. But I also did powergaming so when she was drunken she hit hard.

I only play male characters (I'm a girl) because I find it easier to act like I'm not myself if I'm not playing females, it's weird because you see it so clearly in your head, even your character artwork looks like a man, but then the DM refers to you as a she and you are like, duuuude, my character has a beard!

im currently playing with 2 characters that essentially work as one, both are supports and are completely useless without the other: a female human-like doll (think Aigis from persona 3) who is a toy maker (artificer) and a male kobold witch doctor, i take turns roleplaying eather the kobold point or view, or the doll girl point of view and it amuses me to no end

I play characters from both gender equally often occasionally even things that are neither. Currently I'm having fun with an overly cliche male satyr bard that uses music and diplomacy equally, the latter usually ending with him seducing someone. As I said, overly cliche, so yes, he is after everyone, male, female it doesn't matter. I also get to use every lazy pick-up line ever tried on me but succeed.
